Name of Character(s): Sarvarni
Text:
Quote: I stand in the shadow of another's wrongs, reaching for the light beyond him
Species: Wolf
Age: 5
Gender: Male
Breed: Gray wolf
Colour: Black
Physical Appearance: Huge, supposed to be a very large wolf, scars on chest but that doesn't have to be shown in the image
Personality: He comes from a troubled past, but like many he has learned to cope. Unlike some others, though, he doesn't hold what happened before against any wolf or the world, and instead he finds love in what he does and sees. He cares deeply for those around him that he bonds too, and he is the ideal, loyal pack wolf. He is, however, mostly unfamiliar with pack ways. Sarvarni dislikes disputes but if he believes he is right, he has a hard time ending them. Even though he has never found a mate, he continues to search for the one who's voice calls to his soul. He is patient and kind, caring and gentle toward pups. He is fierce and protective of his loved ones and territory. He is the perfect gentleman, a true asset to any who come to know him. His only faults are his stubbornness once he has set his mind to something and his inability to close arguments.
Images or References: None, sorry
Image Ideas: Perhaps a ray of sunlight, or moonlight, dappling across him as he stands alone in a clearing/field looking at the viewer or looking across the picture to something not seen by the viewer... anything is fine, really, just ideas...
Example post with requested character: He's new, so I haven't posted him yet. I was honestly waiting for his image before I got too much into character because I wanted the style of writing to match the image. I'll include a post that portrays his father, who he is similar to, but Sarvarni's attitude is much less bitter and kinder, and he is happier than his father is being portrayed here because he doesn't have too much of a bad past. He tends to look more to the bright side of things instead of the negative and pessimistic...
Carrick shifted uneasily as he saw the shy smile in her eyes, but there was a pleasant feeling of warmth that suddenly spread from his chest outward. Strange that he should feel such a thing when he was discussing his past and the events he had hidden from the others for so long. It was not in the least bit fun, he grumbled, turning his head to the side.
We - the clans - would all meet in the dead of winter, prime mating season, to trade news and find new members for our clans from the other clans... young wolves who sought new homes and mates of their own. Carrick paused, considering how to best tell the tale. It was there I met her, Lanessa, and her brother Sarvesh. I can't even remember now how old I was, but the seasons still seemed young and full of life. Not like now.
Carrick's features dulled and as he gazed into the distance, it was like he was there again, running at the side of two ebony wolves. The winter snows swirled around them as they ran, dashing between assemblies of wolves gathered to tell stories from long before and share news. Such things were for the elders, for they were young, and finally it was time. Sarvesh was slow, slower than Lanessa and himself, and soon they had left him behind. They ran into the spectacular landscape, filled with snowflakes and trees glazed with ice. The moonshine sang down upon their backs, and as the crossed the river their flanks brushed together, and their eyes shone with the fury and light of youth and exuberant savagery.
The brute blinked, shook his head. The land around him was bright with the autumn colors, not washed alight in the wintery night of the past. He almost wanted to cry. It was then the brute heard, in the distance, his alpha's sorrowful call. His own heart reached out, but he sat in silence, simply gazing in the direction that he and Zena had come from. He, too, knew the feeling. And here he was, part of her own.
Carrick looked back at Zena again, sadness brimming in his demeanor. Needless to say, as two young wolves full of life that we were, we mated, even though we were from different clans. Generally I would have moved into her pack, and the cubs would have been raised there. I knew if I left my clan, they wouldn't take me back. My father was that way about thingsā¦ He always said there was never a way to go back. Oh how I wish there were sometimes. We went to her family when the gathering ended, but... they were, understandably, most upset that we had mated without asking the alphas' permission.
They chased us out of the territory. I went to my father, even though I knew what his response would be. He turned us away, and there we were... two young wolves, expecting cubs, without a clan or family to help support us and them. In the north, it is all about family. No wolf expecting cubs is left alone without three or four others nearby crooning over her. So Sarvesh joined us, and we made our way through the winter and into the spring, but we were not nearly as successful as we might have been with more help. There was little food, and Lanessa was much too underweight for her condition. I was lost, and I didn't know what to do. ...
Comments: He's a "knight in shining armor" type character, but his faults are his difficulties with his past and his inability to let go of an argument once it begins... also, I ask that the image not be made too large... nothing much bigger than a 600x600, please, so it won't stretch the boards.
