this is my first time around here... hope I did this right ^_^

Text: her name and then pick a quote. I have a couple options.

Age: 7 loooong years
Gender: Female... mare
Breed: Thoroughbred x Standardbred
Colour: Appaloosa
Expanded; She is a leopard appaloosa with a white base (of course) and spatters of reddish brown spots ranging from freckle sized to baseball sized spots. Some roaning/ticking.

this picture is my favorite reference for her body shape etc but I based her completely off of that horse, which is Goer by FantasyDesignStock. There are tons of pictures of him on her DA.
Iris is tall at exactly 16 hands high and if she had been bred in a stable she would make good prospective racing stock. She is leggy and very quick on her feet although her long body makes it a little more difficult to turn on a dime. She is kind of stocky with a short back and a long face. Her eyes are very light brown, almost a caramel in color, and she has a long scar on her rump from a hoof where the hair has refused to grow back. She has plenty of other small nicks and scars and there is a slightly haunted and very tired look in her gaunt face. Wren oozes confidence and self assurance even though she doesn't usually feel it she knows that if she acts strong and sure of herself than others will believe her to be so.
Her base is white but hardly looks so with the large degree of roaning and chestnut spots on her frame. She has a lot of dark red roaning/ticking on her face and none of her appaloosa spots are very big. Her mane is almost completely red chestnut although there are a few flaxen strands mixed in and she has long chestnut stockings on all four legs, although there is a small white coronet on her left rear foot. Although specific markings like that aren't necessary for the picture <333
Personality: Iris believes she is cursed is some sense of the word, she had equine juvenile epilepsy but unlike many horses the 'fits' did not cease as she aged although they did decrease in commonness. Iris sees visions when she has a seizure, a lot like a dream or a nightmare although sometimes flashes of her past or what she believes to be her future. She believes that she is transported to another world during her seizures where someone is chasing her down. She often dreams (outside of her seizures) she is running away from someone.
Iris has yet to find a stallion that she actually likes but she hasn’t given up on the race yet, not after watching Talisman whisk her daughter away with his kind words and good intentions. She is saucy and loud, blunt to the point of rudeness although she can be tactful if she believes it will get her somewhere. Power is very important to her since she’s learned how little power mares yield in this world and has come to realize that by manipulation she can get what she wants. It’s very important for Wren to be the sailor of her ship and the decision maker in her life. She’s independent and has been caring for herself long enough to realize she doesn’t need a man to be happy.
She acts a lot more confident than she is because she has come to realize that you teach people how to treat you. She has been bossed around enough in her life and won't accept ill treatment at this point. She is embarrassed about her disorder and will not tell anyone about it unless they have witnessed a fit, which she tries to avoid.

Image Ideas: Really anything that you come up with would be great but here are a few thoughts I had
I'd love to see her in motion, she's very active and spunky and images of her bucking/rearing/rolling are always fun. Or to see her running, as if she's running in her dreams or running away from something, or a shot of her walking/running away from the camera. Maybe into a forest or something. I love to see her in nature.
Or if you have her standing still I'd like to see a haunted/tired look in her eyes, maybe have her under the moon or clouds. I like to see her in a forest or maybe by the sea. The loves the sea and spent most of her life on the coast.
Example post with requested character: This thing is already huge and I think her history is more telling. I'll post a sample post if someone wants. Just ask.
HISTORY
Year 0 she is born to a large herd led by a less than big hearted stallion called Durnwin and her mother, Raven, isn’t exactly the highest ranked of mares having only given him a daughter before Iris. Durnwin is very disappointed that Iris is a filly and even more upset when he finds out that she has equine juvenile epilepsy.
- When her seizures haven’t ceased by the time she is weaned Durnwin gives Raven an ultimatum. Take her daughter and run, fast and far away so that he may never see them again, or allow him to take Iris's life away. Raven chooses to run.
- The pair encounter a small mare-run herd overseen by the kind warrior Marzis. She teaches Iris how to fight and take care of herself.
Year 1 she spends her time as a yearling running with the other fillies of the herd. She becomes increasingly frightened of her seizures or “fits”. She has dreams every time she has one and begins to believe she is transported to a different world. She becomes convinced that her soul is taken somewhere dangerous where some kind of predator wants to find her and kill her, or even worse.
Year 2 there is a raid on her herd carried out by a bachelor herd. Her mother is killed as are many of the amazons but Iris and Marzis are taken as captives.
- She is raped and beaten, basically a slave to the young and powerful stallions. She becomes pregnant by her ‘master’ Leander.
Year 3 Iris gives birth to twins, one stillborn and the other very obviously deformed. She names her second son Falcon but when she introduces the colt to Leander he is furious that she has given him such an imperfect child and kills the foal. Unhappy with Iris he trades her to a lower ranked stallion, Morth, for another mare.
- She becomes pregnant almost immediately and remains sickly throughout the year.
Year 4 Gives birth to a filly, small for her age and born premature she names the filly Kalli. Kalli is small with a bad immune system but manages to survive the harsh conditions of the ever moving bachelor herd.
Year 5 As the herd migrates through a more populated area of equines Kalli meets a stallion named Talisman who she becomes enamored with despite the age difference. He offers the pair shelter and solace an Iris escapes with her daughter in the middle of the night
Year 6 the pair resides with Talisman safe in his growing herd.
Year 7</u] Kalli is now three and promoted to lead mare. Iris uses this opportunity to take her leave and find her own way in the world. Iris is now seven.
