Name of Character(s): Kailin
Text: Kailin
Quote: n/a
Species: equine
Age: immortal
Gender: female
Breed: Divine
Colour: violet
Physical Appearance: physically, I picture her as an Andalusian or Arab-type: very refined and elegant. so... pretty much like Magnum Psyche
Also, I haven't though of any markings for her, but if you'd like to add some swirly or tribal markings like this, that would be excellent.
Personality:
she's bitchy, arrogant, holier-than-thou, and also a hippie and a bleeding heart. she's very conflicted, having to take care of an entire world all on her own, but she loves her people. she's kind and caring to her core, even if her inner demons get the best of her sometimes.
oh, did i not mention she's a goddess?
Images or References:
if you have access to hoodsey's stock, then use that, because she has some fanfreakingtastical arabian stock.
if not, then jello88 on dA has some great arab stock as well, but they're mostly action shots.
Image Ideas:
I do enjoy Zodiac's style, so something like 1, 2, 3, or 4 would be incredibly amazing.
something with just her and perhaps some stars or something to show her celestial power would be most excellent.
Example post with requested character:
"Give it back...."
Kailin sucked a breath between her clenched teeth, slowly opened her eyes, and shivered. "What a horrible dream," she muttered, and tucked her muzzle between her knees to keep them from clacking together.
"Things must be getting bad down there..."
Dehlin came from out of the gloom and laid himself beside her with his muzzle resting delicately on her neck. His breath did not freeze on her like it would if she were mortal; it frosted like shining lace, melted, and evaporated back into the air—all in a mere moment. Things were always so peculiar around his mother, or at least for him. Perhaps it was the way she could touch him without getting frostbite as anyone else would.
Her sides heaved violently as she started sobbing, and all Dehlin could do was pull his muzzle away and look on. He knew better than to try and comfort her when her vision was still so raw. Minutes crawled by until:
"I will show you what I saw, and then you will understand," she rasped. Her eyes were black as the darkest night, and she looked older than the first star there ever was. She was larger than she had been a moment ago, but her barrel, chest and eyes had sunken. Her ribs creaked, her breath wheezed, and she looked so frail that he was afraid she would simply crumble into dust and float away with the wind.
She brought her quaking muzzle to the white spot between his eyes and breathed out the universe.

"I am sorry. But do you comprehend now how vital you are to that world?"
Dehlin wasn't listening; he was consumed by the screams that still echoed in his head. Only once they had faded to nearly nothing did he shake his forelock from his eyes and look up.
When Dehlin opened his eyes, everything had changed. His mother was standing at the very edge of his vision, watching him with a pained expression. He was panted hard and his body was slick and lathered with sweat. Even his eyes were strained—they felt as if they had been scorched by the intense heat...
"You've been having this dream for weeks now. Weeks! Why didn't you tell us sooner? We could have prevented this!" Dehlin snarled, and she could now clearly see the tear tracks that ran down his face. He was shaking not with fear and sadness as she had been, but with rage. She could almost smell the anger boiling his blood and oozing from his pores. Oh, how he must hate her.
Dehlin blinked hard, trying to clear the sight of death from his eyes and the scent of burning flesh from his nostrils. When he opened them, Kailin was right beside him, pressing her forehead to his cheek. "Darling, the great fire-mountain has not yet destroyed the world. Akosius is safe, but only for a short time now. It was a premonition, one that is now almost certain to happen if we don't do everything to stop it," she whispered, and he could hear the desperation in her voice.
"As you know, I cannot interfere with the will of nature. I can manipulate it and twist it to suit my needs, but not reverse its effects completely..." Kailin pulled away from him and summoned his siblings. First Fernius, the Kaelah, and finally Alorea appeared from the darkness, each showing some sign of respect to their mother before gathering in a loose circle.
"We must return to them. You must take up your kingdoms once more (with a few minor adjustments of course!) and assume command. Warn them of danger, but do not tell them exactly what it is that I have seen, or else they might panic and everything would be swallowed not by fire, but fear. Will you go?"
They each indicate they would indeed return, although Alorea did quite grudgingly. Kailin's eyes gleamed, looking like miniature swirling galaxies in the half-light, and she stomped her hoof into the ground. Her eyes grew brighter and brighter, and larger as well, and soon they all had to shield their eyes from the blinding light. In a flash it was dark again, and they were off, speeding back to Akosius like a rainbow-hued cluster of shooting stars bound to crash.
They sped through time and space, and eventually crash-landed on the very edge of Denteli in a massive shower of multicoloured sparks. Unharmed, they stepped out from the dust-cloud and made their way to hill in the center of the neutral lands. With a bit of levitation from Kailin, they rose to the top of the hill. While the four demigods rested, Kailin rose into the air on a chunk of rock as she had done a year ago, and began her beacon-like, pulsing glow of deep, vibrant violet.
Comments: I'm really looking for one really, really good image of her that I can use forever. I hate going around requesting things for myself, because it makes me feel lazy, and I really do hate having to ask other people to do things for me. So if you think can do a fanfreakingtastical job with her, please give it a shot.
