Name of Character: Selemani Text: Selemani Quote: When twilight drops her curtain down and pins it with a star, remember that you have a friend though she may wander far. Species: equine Age: three Gender: female Breed: arabian x paso fino Colour: light dapple grey Physical Appearance: More along the lines of an arabian in the shape of the head and the way she carries her tail. Her body, however, is slightly bulkier due to the paso in her. The tail and mane is much darker grey than her body which is white with light dapples all over it. Personality: You know that feeling when you see something new that has never been seen by your eyes before. It’s when you want to just explore until you have through knowledge of this unknown item. Many describe this simple longing for information as curiosity. The slightest rustle of movement, the quietest whisper of a call is enough to send the senses churning. That’s what this filly loves to do, search out and find before knowing.
Coming with the curiosity and finding out exactly what things are is an intelligence that stretches beyond natural instinct. Exploring the expanses of the world has left a deep impression within her brain. Each moment, like when she first saw the stretching ocean, has been a learning experience. Like many who learn how to swim, she wasn’t exactly sure what to expect until curiosity wins the battle of wills. So, along with her quiet intelligence, she maintains a knowledgeable trove about the world around her.
Many with quickly functioning brains have the ability to send out responses and replies quickly and even at just the right timing. Carrying a sense of humor, she loves to poke fun at other flounders while also leaving her own skin in the path of laughter. Her entire goal is to simply make others smile as a frowning world is not one fit to be living in. Why not have a few harmless jokes or actions floating around to make the world a lighter place, especially with so many mutated creatures floating about.
However, there is that moment when the jokes turn seriously on her. When the derisions are truthful or harmful, she believes the victim should be protected. If this one is her or another, she grows haughty in her actions, bristling at the slightest of remarks or actions. In a world where mutations are power, holding yourself up is how she believes survival of the fittest actually works. Despite this, she would not hesitate before aiding in the protection of another at the butt of derision. Normally levelheaded, there are things that deserve, in her mind, punishment and not ignorance. Images or References: One Two Image Ideas: Maybe something with stars, or the night sky. She has an obsession with the stars, planets, and constellations. Other than that, I really don't care where the background is or anything like that. Example post with requested character: The night sky stretched out in all directions, reaching from one horizon to the next. Small pinpoints of light began to appear in seeming random order, turning the dark night into a brilliant light show. As more and more emerged, they began to make shapes, turning into ancient myths created to explain the earth and all of its glories. The moon was late in rising, keeping its glow below the horizon and allowing the other celestial bodies to steal the show that danced above the dark earth. On that same earth I stood, poised below those shining stars, gazing at all they had to offer in their divine stature. A single lengthy hind appendage stretched out behind my worn out bodice and settled itself upon the hardened earth. Heavy cranium sat poised upon my slender nape and it seemed so much heavier after a long day and now my delaying sleep for even longer. A deep sigh pressed itself through my flared nostrils as I took in what was available to my limited range of vision. Slight wisps of cloud began to emerge among the stretched canvass of the sky and it contorted my vision of what I wished to see.
Standing at attention for a moment, a shake wound its way from my chiseled skull, down through my spine, and to my tip of my silky tresses. Shifting my gaze up once more, one last look was placed up toward the heavens that seemed to guard over the demented land I called home. Standing straight once more, my smoky white features seemed to glow against the dark outline of the forest standing in the foreground. Rolling my bodice about, I faced the looming trees as if they held a challenge and were simply waiting to be met. Elongated appendages flowed seamlessly across the hard packed ground, carrying me ever closer to the dark enclosure that seemed to usher danger in my direction. Every instinct in my body shivered in anticipation and slight fear as to what would come but my curiosity was overcoming the urge to flee. By the time the edge of the grove of trees approached, suppression of those fears had succeeded and I was fully prepared to plunge into the belly of the beast. Lowering my chiseled skull, I pressed forward, disappearing into the dark depths of the trees. The last thing visible in the starry light was the strands belonging to my grey studded whipcord.
After adjusting to the change in lighting, I was treated to an almost completely new world. A silence had fallen upon the world as the absence of as motion was highly apparent. The only sound came from the rustling of branches as a breeze wound its way through the silent giants. Another sigh pressed itself through my nostrils as my deep green eyes gazed about this silent forest in search of something I wasn’t even sure of yet. Continuing with their lulling motion, lean appendages continued to sweep above the earth, almost as if they were truly in flight. Seeing as the grove of trees was not massive in size, I swiftly emerged on the opposing front that they offered. Once again, the world seemed to shift in the way it looked. This time, I was greeted by the sight of a few hills standing in the distance. The clouds that had blurred my vision before had been swept aside by the gentle breeze that had persisted in its course. Now, however, a mist seemed to wind its way across the ground, as if the pockets of moisture had just shifted their positions. A slight shiver ran along my spine as I felt the eyes of another even though the barren landscape appeared uninhabited.
Slowly, I rolled about on my hind appendages, turning a complete circle until I caught the glow of another much the same in color as my own bodice. Yet, this other held a glow that no normal equine could possibly posess. Another shiver wound its way along my spine as my brain figured the only thing it could possibly be: a ghost. A light chuckle danced from my parted kissers as if I was trying to pursuade myself otherwise but I knew it was true simply by the look of the creature. Collecting myself, I took a tenative step forward before following it with another. I was not too far off any longer, more within speaking distance than i was before but I still was not certain that I wanted to make my presence known quite yet. Pausing for a moment, I shifted my weight from one side to the other as I contemplated what my next action would be. Finally, I managed to send forth a single word through whispered lyrics. "Hello." Comments: I'm looking for kind of a picture capturing wonder and strength if that is possible =) I also just want a picture and then a clickable that will go in the signature.
