Name of Character(s): Raivuki
Text: Raivuki
Quote: And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.
Species: Horse
Age: 3
Gender: Mare
Breed: American Quarter Horse
Colour: blue/black roan
Physical Appearance: Vdark brown, almost black eyes. Her mane and tail are black, and she has a very thin coat year round, but nobody knows why. She also has a small black gash on her hindquarters (right side) where the fur has grown in black.
Personality: Raivuki is a sensible mare. She doesn't do wild, or crazy, but she's sweet, and pretty in a down-to-earth way. She's a little jumpy sometimes, but that's because she's young. Raivuki loves being outside in normal, humid, rainstorms, but if it's thundering, she'll get outta there before you can say "Immaroanhorse." She also loves the summer and spring. She's not defiant, but she's not submissive, either. She sits happily in the middle and doesn't like to cause too much trouble, but does cause it every once in a while, because what's a youngster without play?
Images or References: Not really.
Image Ideas: I'd like it to be anywhere, but with a rainstorm building in the distance or rain falling.
Example post with requested character:
Why am I here? was the first thought that Raivuki had. The sky was a dark grey with flecks of blue, and the blue roan mare blended in. It was bound to start raining soon. The lush landscape invited her to come rest, or eat some of the lush, long grass and flowers whilst she waited for the rain to fall. But the sensible mare looked around instead of acting on a whim. She knew the rules; it was a bad idea to be in a stallion's land without permission. Who knew what he was like? She didn't think he'd be too mean to her, because the land didn't look overpopulated by any means. In fact, it was a bit barren. Plop. Rai looked up, startled, but then relaxed. The rain! She pricked her ears. Rain was a good thing. Many horses she'd known were a bit pissy about it, but she liked it.
Raivuki swished her tail, and sighed happily as it began to fall steadily. Maybe it wouldn't hurt too much to go farther in. Carefully, Raivuki picked her way down the slope to the bottom of the bowl. Weaving her way through the wheat-colored stalks, she paused for a second and pricked her black tipped ears. The only sound was the pounding rain, but she had to tread cautiously.
Suddenly, she stumbled. A surprised squeak was all that she uttered, and the only thing hurt was her pride. It's not like anyone could see that, she reassured herself. Could they? Anyone could be hiding in this cursed tall grass. Well, she replied to herself, its your own fault, nothing to do with the rather pretty grass.
Raivuki muttered to herself, but kept walking. It was cooling down a little due to the rain shower, and Rai didn't like it. Her coat was abnormally thin, and never grew in the winter. It wasn't very bad, though. Imagine being an Arabian up North! She chuckled under her breath, not knowing that, in fact, there really was an Arabian causing all this trouble up North.
Eventually, between pauses to stare at the rain (which in one occasion fell in her eye) and to look around, the young mare happened upon a very pretty dark purple flower patch. Her stomach rumbled. There isn't any harm in eating a flower, she decided. Nobody will know, and I'll be out of here before long. Innocently, the quarter horse lowered her thick neck and reached for the flower.
Comments: Not really.
Signature?: Yes; I'm not good with siggys, though. Really I just need a good size. If you can't do that, it's fine.
